After a sold out show Off-Broadway, The Stupid Economy, starring Chrissy Hogue, will appear for an encore performance in the United Solo Theatre Festival at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, New York City on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 7:30pm.

Three years in the making and with an exponentially growing production history, The Stupid Economy has made a small town dream into a big time reality. If you missed it the first time around, here is your chance to see award-winning actor Chrissy Hogue take on the insanity of our county's economic malaise...again.

A dramatic comedy dissecting the festering heap we call our economy and its effect on American society, The Stupid Economy weaves a story that will make you laugh, cry and stomp your feet in frustration at our current economic condition. Through personal stories, Chrissy Hogue takes the audience on a wild ride through the lives of five characters from every walk of life, from the bottom to the top of the economic ladder. Touching on everything from the college experience to Chinese production, racism, refinancing, politicians, and magic dogs, The Stupid Economy provides a launching point for a conversation we all need to have about where we've been and where we're going.

Chrissy Hogue made her stage debut in Queens, New York at the age of six. She has landed starring roles in more than eight first-run theatre productions alone. Chrissy has won several acting awards including Best Actress, First Place Dramatic Prose, First Place Dramatic Duo, Best Ensemble, Best Supporting Actress, and honorable mentions from Happee Smith Productions' Telly and Addy award-winning Sedona Staffing and Fly Dubuque Airport commercials.
