THE SPACE PIRATE PUPPY MUSICAL! to Play the Kraine Theater

FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade in association with Tasty Monster Productions is pleased to present the New York Premiere of The Space Pirate Puppy Musical! every second Saturday of the month beginning in October at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery) with performances on Saturday, October 8, Novever 12, and Dececember 10, 2016 and January 14, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July 8, and August 12, 2017 at 12pm. From the team who brought you the quirky antics of SINGLEMARRIEDGIRL, and the poignant family drama Ferdinand, as well as the darkly comic Everybody's Crazy...or Maybe It's Just Me, comes a new musical for the whole family that is out of this world, The Space Pirate Puppy Musical! With book by Heather Bagnall and music and lyrics by New York composer & lyricist Steve Schalchlin (The Last Session, The Big Voice: God or Merman?; New World Waking), and direction by Luke Tudball, Tasty Monster Productions will perform this 60 minute musical romp every second Saturday of the month at The Kraine Theatre. The cast will feature Susan Bell, James Cougar Canfield, Jennifer Christine, Angelina Kelly, and John Patrick Sabatos.

The Space Pirate Puppy Musical! is an intergalactic extravaganza incorporating original music, pop culture, pup culture and puppetry. Liberally interspersing clever lyrics and memorable songs with sci fi and fantasy references, The Space Pirate Puppy Musical! whisks the whole family across the galaxy to seek the wisdom of the oracle, the knowledge of the universe and to help determine the fate of the planet Earth.

Earth has gone to the dogs, literally. After "the incident" humans have gone underground and into space leaving dogs to run the planet. But the Space Pirates have decided that they need to pave over Earth to put up a parking lot for their new nightclub on the moon. The Puppies have to join forces with their archenemies the Ninja Kittens and along with the assistance of the Great Oracle, must seek the power of the greatest weapon they've never heard of. Epic adventures and battles ensue and along the way, we learn a deep, dark secret...or three. Will the Puppies turn tail and run? Will the Ninja Kittens, ooh string. Can the Earth be saved from certain construction? Will it all end in discord or harmony?
