THE SECOND COUSINS SHOW, Featuring Rick Crom, Brings Musical Comedy To The East Village Image

THE 2ND SECOND COUSINS SHOW: JIMMY BERNSTEIN V.S. Donald Trump: THE TRUE STORY THE CENTRAL PARK ICE SKATING RINK: THE MUSICAL! skates into Sidewalk Cafe on December 15th at 7pm.

Hosted by comedian David Bradley Isenberg (McSweeney's) and composer-lyricist James Harvey (The Crack in the Ceiling), this monthly variety show brings together the best performers from New York's comedy and musical theater scenes.

Legendary comedian, actor, composer, and lyricist Rick Crom will headline the evening, bringing his explosively funny musical comedy to the East Village venue. Rick Crom wrote the hit Off-Broadway musical, NEWsical, and performed with the original Broadway companies of Urinetown, Footloose, and The Goodbye Girl. His television appearances include Louie, Difficult People, Boardwalk Empire, and The Chapelle Show, and he was recently featured in the documentary, Oh, Rick.

The raucous performance will also feature a dramatization of one man's battle against Donald Trump for the naming rights of a skating rink in Central Park. Based on the true story of a distant cousin of hosts David and James, THE 2ND SECOND COUSINS SHOW will make you laugh, cry, and believe in America again.

Additional performers include Catherine Cohen (Difficult People), Dina Hashem (Conan), Tim Platt (UCB, Ars Nova), and Lawrence DeLoach (winner of the Crosstown Comedy Festival and the Hoboken Comedy Festival).

Sidewalk Cafe is located on 94 Avenue A. No cover charge. http://www.sidewalkny.com/
