Just in time for the holidays, Take The Cakeable Records releases the Studio Cast Recording of THE MAN WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS, out on CD and via Digital Download today, November 18, 2014. The album is available at www.TheManWhoSavedChristmas.com.

THE MAN WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS is a musical comedy loosely based on the true story of 'Erector Set' inventor A.C. Gilbert. In 1917, as the United States was embroiled in the drama of World War I, Washington lawmakers proposed a ban on toy sales for the duration of the holiday season. Gilbert battled the bureaucrats, and emerged victorious. He became a hero to children everywhere, and was forever thereafter known as "The Man Who Saved Christmas."

Composer-Lyricist Ron Lytle's (OH MY GODMOTHER!) "New Old-Fashioned" musical version of the tale has been lifting audiences to their feet on two continents for nearly a decade, with its tuneful melodies and sparkling lyrics. Yet-despite rave reviews from critics, and countless requests from fans-this toe-tapping score has never been recorded.

But now, thirty-four singers, along with a fourteen-piece orchestra have gathered together to bring, THE MAN WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS to glorious life in an all-new Studio Cast Album. And what a cast! Veterans of Broadway Productions, Broadway Road Companies, National and International Tours, the New York City Opera Company, Cabaret, and even the world of Reality TV Show singing competitions have come together to record the 19-song score in its entirety.

Leading the cast is Chris Vettel as A.C.Gilbert. Offering able-voiced support are Ryan Drummond (Johnny Eli), Melissa O'Keefe (Alice Finch), Sheelagh Murphy (Mary Gilbert), Michael P. Mendelsohn (Dixon), Jordyn Foley (Ellen), and Pierce Peter Brandt (Daddy).

Also featured: Brendan Andrade, Lance De Boyles, Laurie De Seguirant, Phil George, Suzanne Henry, Diana Kehrig, Anne Milbourne, Anna-Lisa Muraoka, Rosalind Neisinger, Shemp Peoria, Chad Runyon, Caroline Schneider, J.D. Cerruti, Christine Curulla, Madelyn Davis, Sadie Decker, Anika Gupta, Shayan Hooshmand, Paris Howard, Emily Joy Kessel, Joan Lee, Madilyn Jaz Morrow, Zell Steele Morrow, Caity Redfer, and Leilani Zaragoza

Among the songs and musical numbers featured: We've Got A Lot To Do; Nice Lady; Dream A Dream; Daddy Has To Leave You; It's Very Dangerous; You And Me; I Think I Think; A New Man; See You In The A.M.; All I Want For Christmas; For America!; What's Wrong With The Grown-Ups?; No More Love Songs; Leave The Toys Alone; Dixon's Turn; and A Very Merry Christmas After All.

With a tip-top cast singing a score that has left reviewers from Virginia to California searching their thesauruses for superlatives, one thing is clear: "You Can See It'll Be A Very Merry Christmas After All!"

Take The Cakeable Records presents THE MAN WHO SAVED CHRISTMAS, The Studio Cast Album, available today, November 18, 2014 at a suggested price of $14.98. Website: www.TheManWhoSavedChristmas.com or Facebook: www.facebook.com/TheManWhoSavedChristmas.
