Kirsten Ames and The Barrow Street Theatre will end their run of THE IMPROVISED SHAKESPEARE COMPANY on May 24th at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). The production was created and directed by Blaine Swen. Recently announced are an additional number of seats for Monday evening's performance, as well as a code (PRVISC) for $3 off tickets online or at the box office.
Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Co. creates a fully improvised comedic play in Elizabethan style. Each of The Players has brushed up on his "thee's" and "thou's" to bring you an evening of off-the-cuff comedy using the language and themes of William Shakespeare. Nothing is planned-out, rehearsed, or written. Each play is completely improvised, so each play is entirely new. Running time is 1 hour, 20 minutes with no intermission. Visit the Improvised Shakespeare Company online at www.ImprovisedShakespeare.com.
More information is available at the Barrow Street Theatre website at www.barrowstreettheatre.com. General admission tickets are $20, though $3 can be saved off advance purchases with the code PRVISC. Use the code online at www.smarttix.com or mention the code at the Barrow Street box office: 27 Barrow Street, New York, NY 10014 (corner of 7th Ave). The box office opens at 1PM.
