Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As With Your Favorite Broadway Stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with theatre critic and columnist extraordinaire Michael Musto, who will soon bring 70'S DISCO EXTRAVAGANZA to 54 Below on February 17.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

"Man of La Mancha." I was disappointed. It was so brown. I wanted "No, No Nanette," even though that hadn't even happened yet.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Reminding the backup singers not to step on my solos.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

I was set to sing a Motown duet with a nightclub diva who couldn't be found all night. She finally arrived only two minutes before showtime. It turned out she'd had to be roused out of a crack stupor and dragged there by a friend. For hours, I'd been rehearsing the duet as a solo and had to quickly unlearn that and perform it opposite a walking corpse in a dress. I managed. The crowd didn't applaud at the end, but at least they didn't leave.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Dolly Levi.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Cheyenne Jackson, Seth Numrich, Benjamin Walker-- anyone in shorts or a towel.

Where can people stalk you online?

On my blog (dailymusto.com), my Facebook page, my fan page, and my Twitter page.

The mirror ball has relocated to the cellar with Michael Musto's 70s DISCO EXTRAVAGANZA at 54 BELOW. Sunday, February 17, starting at 9:30PM, join downtown legend, disco diva, and Village Voice columnist Michael Musto with his glittery sidekicks Snooky and Tish as he performs live with disco cover band The Elektrik Company. Michael's special guest star for the evening will be Orfeh (Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever). We are pushing tables and chairs aside to make way for the dance floor, so grab a cocktail and shake your groove thing into the wee hours as the 54 Below returns to its fabulous roots. All tickets are $20. For Banquet seating there is a $50 minimum per person required. To obtain those seats you must call 54 Below at 646-476-3551.
