Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As With Your Favorite Broadway Stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Kate Rockwell, who is starring as 'Sherrie' in Rock of Ages- currently playing at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

The revival of Wonderful Town in 2005 I think...I remember seeing every understudy possible because it was a Saturday matinee, and not caring the littlest bit about missing all the big stars. That same day I saw Wicked for the first time; I bought a ticket from a street scalper and was in the very last row of the Gershwin--and cried like a baby when Idina walked onstage. And when she sang the first time. And at the end of act 1. And for the entire second act. I liked Idina a little.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Hmm. I don't do a lot of everyday rituals...I'm too ADD...but I can assure you that every show starts with some serious caffeine consumption. The Rock of Ages cast has a "MiO" addiction--TRY IT, IT'S AWESOME. And, as a more fun example, right before I make my entrance in the opening number I secretly reach through the curtain to punch Andre Ward's butt. Sometimes twice.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

When I went on for Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, I did an entire week straight. That weekend, we had what we called an "understudy run through" because there were so many understudies and swings on. One swing went on for Elle's Dad for the first time, and had to drive the golf cart onstage -- he wasn't used to it, and he took a turn too quickly, driving the golf cart right into the audience. The entire cast and crew ran over to pull the car back onstage and I just stood there staring with my mouth open thinking, "now what??" Thankfully Orfeh was there, she started the show right back up once the car was taken care of. The audience clapped as they drove it offstage.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Well, Daisy in Sideshow. That's been a dream role for years. But I heard this little rumor that Mean Girls is coming to Broadway...and I will take out whoever I have to, to play Regina George. Type casting anyone?

Who is your Broadway crush?

This is embarrassing, since I've actually met him...but Will Swenson. OMG. I got so tongue tied when someone introduced us during Hair...and of course my Rock of Ages co-star, Justin Sargent, who I stare at adoringly for 2 1/2 hours a night!!

Where can people stalk you online?

I have a Twitter!!! It's very new!! Follow me @KateRockwellNYC. And I put a lot of cute pictures of my little dog on my Instagram.
