Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Richard H. Blake, who stars as 'Tommy DeVito' in Jersey Boys, currently playing at the August Wilson Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

A Chorus Line (the original) was the first show I ever saw on Broadway. I did see the National tour of Annie before that in my hometown.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

Well I'm a little OCD with my pre show process. I have to do everything in the same order. Hair, physical warmup, put my mic on, brush my teeth use the restroom and then get dressed. Then I sing the first line of my first song. Except I sing it as high as I can. That way I have a feel of where my voice is at.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Well I can't really say the show went on but when I was in New Orleans on tour with Wicked there was a fire down the block and I knocked out power to the entire neighborhood. It was actually in the second act when I run on with the gun and say "what's going on here?" As soon as I said that the lights went out. We never got power back and couldn't continue the show but they brought a piano onstage and all the crew held flashlights on Elphaba and Glinda while they sang "For Good." Everyone in the audience had their cell phones out to light the auditorium and you could hear a pin drop. It was a really cool.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Umm... what's the oldest character ever written.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Rose Byrne. I didn't actually get to see her in You Can't Take It With You but I love her in every film I've ever seen her in. Oh and she's beautiful.
