Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Quinn VanAntwerp, who stars as 'Bob Gaudio' in Jersey Boys, currently playing at the August Wilson Theatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

When I was 13 I got to see "Annie Get Your Gun" starring Reba McIntyre with my aunt Holly Near! I waited at the stage door for her after the matinee but she didn't come out. I came back that night and waited and her body guard made sure I was in a good spot to get her signature, she ended up skipping me and getting in the car and he got her out of the car to sign my Playbill! Later in life I would get my Equity Card doing South Pacific at the Hollywood Bowl with her and Brian Stokes Mitchell. I got to show her the Playbill and tell her what a wonderful moment that had been for me. It was a dream come true.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I have the first 30 minutes of the show off but I always like to come down to the stage at places to see everyone start the show. It not only helps me bond with cast members but also mentally know that the show has begun. If I just hear it from my dressing room then it doesn't seem real when I get down there.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

About my 3rd month in to Jersey Boys in Toronto, I had got some new show shoes that were very slippery. I was 22 at the time and still a bit over eager onstage. During "Oh What a Night" I ran and slipped on the bridge like bambi and broke my hand. The audience obviously saw what had happened but it happened so quickly that my cast members did not. It wasn't till after the show I really knew something was wrong and went to the hospital. I did the show in a cast for 3 weeks and didn't miss a show.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Well, like most Barritenors in the world I always wanted to play the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera!

Who is your Broadway crush?

Broadway's Matt Bogart of course!
