Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As with your favorite Broadway stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Dave Thomas Brown, who is starring as 'JD' in HEATHERS- currently playing at New World Stages.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

Cats....and I loved it...deal with it. When the cats came out into the audience, one of the girl cats purred and petted on me, and I decided right then and there that I would do this for the rest of my life.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I do an extensive vocal and physical warmup before every show. Near the end, I'm getting my sinus and nasal resonators warmed up. When I finish, I start talking like Face from 90's Nick Jr. "On Nick Junior! Ber-Ber-Ber-Berrrr!"

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

I was lucky enough to be a part of Blue Jacket Drama in Xenia Ohio one summer. It was an Native American outdoor drama on a 3 acre stage with 20 horses and 30 cast members. I'm an avid rider, and jumped at the opportunity to act and ride simultaneously. I was supposed to kill a guy and knock him off his horse, steal his horse and ride off stage. All of the natives (yes, I wore body paint) rode bareback, but the colonists had saddles. One night I was quickly mounting the riderless saddled horse, and he took off before I was on, with one foot stuck in the stirrup. I was instantly on my back being dragged by my foot on gravel up the side stage. He dragged me about 30 feet, then my foot came loose. Miraculously he didn't trample me and out of pure adrenaline I popped up and ran to catch the horse. When I found him, he was back to his stall, exactly where he should have gone had I taken him there myself. I still have a few scars. It was awesome.

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

Alan Strang in Equus

Who is your Broadway crush?

Kelli O'Hara, she is just the bees knees.
