Welcome to THE FRIDAY SIX: Q&As With Your Favorite Broadway Stars. Want to know what hooked them to a career in the theater? Their dream roles? Their Broadway crushes? Read on!

In this week's edition, we caught up with Alex Brightman, who is starring as 'Zacky Price' in BIG FIS- currently in previews at the Neil SimonTheatre.

What is the first Broadway show you ever saw?

CATS... I was 7 and I hated it. I don't know if I still hate it now... because I haven't seen it since. I like to say that the second show I saw was the first show I saw...THE WHO'S TOMMY. It made me want to do musical theatre forever and ever. To this day, the opening chords to "Pinball Wizard" make the hairs on my neck stand on end.

What is your most unique pre-show ritual?

I listen to stand-up comedy radio stations on Spotify before every show. I don't have the balls to be a comedian...I only play one onstage.

What is your most memorable "the show must go on" moment?

Thankfully, I haven't been directly involved with a moment too treacherous during a performance. So I'll make one up:

This one time at Big Fish, a crocodile crawled out of the pit and started snapping at the beautiful Stroman ladies. We almost stopped the show until I was able to tie the wild beast's mouth shut with my mic belt. Then I turned to the audience and said..."what a croc." (It's been a long week.)

What is the one role you want to play before you die?

The joke's on you...I'm immortal. But probably Ferris Bueller when they adapt it for the stage.

Who is your Broadway crush?

Susan Stroman.

Where can people stalk you online?

My girlfriend (the lovely and talented Lindsey Kyler) and I have a web series called, "An Actor Prepares..." It's a tongue-in-cheek cooking show. Check it out. It's on YouTube and it's awesome.
