For one night only, Broadway's brightest stars will sing "Songs from an Era, from Gershwin to Ellington" to benefit The Broadway Experience scholarship fund. Spend one romantic evening and go back in time to hear the songs of days gone by sung by some of the industries top performers including Michelle Blakely, Brenda Braxton, Tituss Burgess, Robert Creighton, Jonathan Freeman, Norm Lewis and TONY award winner Lillias White. The evening will be musically directed by world renowned Gershwin pianist, Kevin Cole.
Edward Jablonski, author of the Encyclopedia of American Music and renowned Gershwin scholar said, "Kevin is the best Gershwin pianist since Gershwin himself - no one can touch him."All proceeds will benefit students across the world who need financial assistance in attending The Broadway Experience. TBE is an international musical theater program designed to create triple threat performers. Over the course of one week, students will undergo an intense study of dance, voice and acting with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers.
