THE BOOK OF MORMON Takes In Over $2.8M in Atlanta; Breaks Record for Highest Grossing Week for a National Tour

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has shattered the record for the highest gross in history for a national tour. For the week ending 2/9/14, The Book of Mormon broke the house record at Atlanta's Fox Theatre, grossing $2,802,606.00. This milestone represents the highest eight performance gross in Broadway touring history. The show breaks a record previously set by WICKED in 2012.

The national tours of The Book of Mormon have broken 62 house records in 27 venues across the country. At Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre, The Book of Mormon has broken the house record 49 times.

THE BOOK OF MORMON features book, music and lyrics by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. The production is choreographed by Casey Nicholaw and is directed by Nicholaw and Parker.

THE BOOK OF MORMON is the winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Book (Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, Matt Stone), Best Direction (Casey Nicholaw, Trey Parker), Best Featured Actress (Nikki M.
