The Ballet Academy East (BAE) Student Company and The Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College present THE 2009 SPRING PERFORMANCE, celebrating 30 years of Ballet Academy East and featuring the talented and dedicated dancers of the BAE Pre-Professional Division in works choreographed by renowned dance artists. Presented as part of The Gerald W. Lynch Theater's Family Time Series, BAE'S 2009 SPRING PERFORMANCE will be presented from May 22-24, 2009 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, 899 Tenth Avenue, NYC. Tickets are $35-55 and are available at www.ticketcentral.com or by phone at 212-279-4200.

The program includes La Source, choreographed by George Balanchine and staged by Darla Hoover; Don Quixote Suite, choreographed by Roger Van Fleteren after Marius Petipa; as well as new ballets by New York City Ballet principal dancer Jonathan Stafford and BAE faculty member Jenna Lavin.

Since opening its doors in 1988, the Gerald W. Lynch Theater has been an invaluable cultural resource for John Jay College and the larger New York City community. Under the new direction of Executive Director Shannon R. Mayers, the Theater is dedicated to the creation and presentation of performing arts programming of all disciplines with a special focus on how the artistic imagination can shed light on the many perceptions of justice in our society.

BAE'S 2009 SPRING PERFORMANCE will be performed from May 22-24, 2009 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College, 899 Tenth Avenue, NYC. Performances on Friday, May 22 at 7:30pm, Saturday, May 23 at 2pm (family matinee with crafts and photo opportunities with dancers) and 7:30pm, and Sunday, May 24 at 2pm.
