Five years ago, Broadway favorites including Zach Braff, Betsy Wolfe, and the late Marin Mazzie opened the musical adaptation of the classic Woody Allen film Bullets Over Broadway at Broadway's St. James Theatre! In honor of the occasion, we're looking back at the show's starry opening night! Check out all the footage below!

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY began previews March 11, 2014 and officially opened on April 10, 2014. The show played its final performance August 24, 2014 after playing 156 regular performances and 33 preview performances. Upon closing, producers Letty Aronson and Julian Schlossberg said "We are tremendously proud of this show and every single person involved with it. It has been a true pleasure, and we know that Bullets Over Broadway will have a long life in future productions to come."

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY tells the story of an aspiring young playwright (Braff) newly arrived on Broadway in 1920's New York who is forced to cast a mobster's (Pastore) talentless girlfriend (Yorke) in his latest drama in order to get it produced.

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY starred Brooks Ashmanskas (The Producers) as "Warner Purcell," Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee Zach Braff ("Scrubs," Garden State) as "David Shayne," Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero (Rock of Ages) as "Cheech," Tony Award nominee Marin Mazzie (Passion; Ragtime; Kiss Me, Kate) as "Helen Sinclair," Vincent Pastore ("The Sopranos") as "Nick Valenti," Betsy Wolfe (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as "Ellen," Lenny Wolpe (The Drowsy Chaperone) as "Julian Marx," Heléne Yorke (Grease) as "Olive Neal" and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Contact) as "Eden Brent."

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY also featured Clyde Alves, Jim Borstelmann, Preston Truman Boyd, Janet Dickinson, Bryn Dowling, Kim Fauré, Casey Garvin, Kelcy Griffin, Dan Horn, Sarah Lin Johnson, Andy Jones, Amanda Kloots-Larsen, Kevin Ligon, Synthia Link, Brittany Marcin, James Moye, Beth Johnson Nicely, Eric Santagata, Jonalyn Saxer and Kevin Worley.

Five time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman brought the new musical to the stage with a design team of Broadway veterans including Santo Loquasto (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design),Donald Holder (lighting design), Peter Hylenski(sound design), Paul Huntley (wig and hair design), William Berloni(animal training), Glen Kelly (music supervision and adaptation / additional Lyrics), Doug Besterman (orchestrations) and Andy Einhorn (music direction/conductor and vocal arrangements). The Broadway production of Bullets Over Broadway featured existing music of the period.
