TADA! Youth Theater Announces Upcoming Free Days

TADA! YOUTH THEATER, the Drama Desk and Coming Up Taller Award-winning organization, is hosting three FREE events in the upcoming weeks: an Open House on Saturday May 5th from 10a-1p for interested musical theater students to learn more about the summer camps offered; an Anti-Bullying Forum on May 6th at 11am in conjunction with their World Premiere musical Up To You; and the June 2nd Dance-A-Thon. TADA! Youth Theater is located at 15 West 28th St. New York, NY 10001.

At the Open House, students will participate in age-appropriate mini samples of the TADA! summer camps followed by Q&A sessions with TADA! Teaching Artists and administrators. During TADA! Week-Long summer camps, children ages 6-12 create and perform a brand new show every week. TADA! will also hold a new 2-Week, half-day mini-camp for ages 4-5. Reservations for Open House are highly recommended. Next up at TADA! Youth Theater (15 West 28th St. 2nd Fl.) April 27 through May 20th is the World Premiere of Up To You, directed by Janine Nina Trevens with book and music by Eric Rockwell and lyrics are by JoAnne Bogart. It is 1977 and time to advocate for your beliefs and elect the candidate with the most promise. The jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, drama freaks and brains all jockey for power in this way cool musical that deals with themes of bullying, leadership and responsibility.

Hosted by Miss New York Kaitlin Monte, the Anti-Bully Forum will be on May 6th at 11am. This FREE event is for kids and parents to discuss bullying through leadership. Join TADA! to talk, listen and because it is Up To You to make a change.

The second annual kid-generated fundraising Dance-A-Thon for TADA! is on June 2nd from 5-8pm The kids get sponsors, bring friends and have a blast! It’s 150 minutes of dancing to a Professional DJ to raise money for TADA! programming. This FREE event is open to kids in grades 1-12 and a great introduction to philanthropy.
