Suzanne Vega, the quintessential New York singer-songwriter for more than 30 years, has been added to the lineup for the tenth annual Holiday Cheer for FUV concert starring Conor Oberst & Friends at the Beacon Theatre, on Monday, December 8th at 8 p.m. She joins Natalie Merchant, The Felice Brothers, Laura Marling, The Lone Bellow, and Jonathan Wilson, who will perform both on their own and with Oberst onstage.
Tickets for the concert, which benefits WFUV (90.7 FM/wfuv.org), New York's musically innovative public radio station, are on sale through Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008), all Ticketmaster Outlets and www.beacontheatre.com.
"Conor and Suzanne have been mutual admirers for many years, and they're both brilliant songwriters in their own distinct ways," said WFUV Program Director Rita Houston. "This concert is all about bringing people together. With Suzanne on the bill, there's no question it will sell out, just like Iron & Wine and Friends last year."
Holiday Cheer for FUV is produced in conjunction with MSG Entertainment. For updates stay tuned to 90.7 FM and wfuv.org and follow #FUVcheer on Twitter.
