Here's a first! The Irish actor-comedienne Suzanna Geraghty is returning to New York for an unprecedented second encore of her Audience Choice Award winner AUDITIONS, ZOE'S AUDITIONS at the United Solo Theatre Festival. Dubbed an Irish Lucille Ball, and proclaimed by The NY Times as "a gifted physical comedienne," Geraghty performs AUDITIONS, ZOE'S AUDITIONS at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street, tonight, November 19 at 9pm.

The Dublin-based Geraghty continues to tour her endearing story of the lovable underdog Zoe across Ireland and the UK in Northern Ireland. She's been featured on the BBC three times, TV3, RTE and UTV's U105-FM.

In 2011 AUDITIONS, ZOE'S AUDITIONS premiered at United Solo, the world's largest solo theatre festival, winning the Audience Choice Award from among 77 solo shows from 11 countries. In 2012, the Jacques Lecoq-schooled Geraghty presented the show at the 5th annual Origin's 1st Irish Festival, after which it was one of 15 to be presented in United Solo's encore sidebar. In a first, United Solo -- which has now produced over 500 solo shows from all over the globe -- is asking Zoe back for another encore.

Written and performed by Geraghty, "Auditions, Zoe's Auditions," is the comically uplifting and heartwarming tale of Zoe Brown, a backstage worker who dreams of landing an acting job. Sent on a dizzying spree of inappropriate auditions by her over-the-hill agent -- everything from "Riverdance," to "Spiderman," to being shot out of a canon for a touring circus -- Zoe just might be getting closer to herself and to the roots of happiness, as she drifts further from her dream job.

A tour de force performance combining physical comedy, farce and pathos -- not to mention a breakneck enactment of the entire plot of "Wuthering Heights" in two minutes flat -- AUDITIONS, ZOE'S AUDITIONS was called "hilarious and powerful" by the Irish Examiner, and Women Around Town toasted it as "a real treat." Back Stage said it was "cleverly written... sure to amuse industry insiders."

The Audience Choice Award-winning AUDITIONS, ZOE'S AUDITIONS is back for more at the 2015 United Solo Theatre Festival, Thursday November 19 at 9pm, at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street.
