Sutton Foster Comes to Broadway Workshop 1/18

The Broadway Workshop, Manhattan's fastestgrowing acting program for young artists has teamed up with TONY Award winning Broadway star Sutton Foster for a special one day workshop to take place MondayJanuary 18, 2010 in New York City.

In addition to Miss Foster students will also have the opportunity to work withBroadway's Stephanie Fittro (Legally Blonde), Carey Anderson (Mamma Mia/ Avenue Q) Ryan Chotto (Hairspray) & Casey Leigh Thompson (Legally Blonde).

This Workshop willgive students the opportunity to work on every area of musical theater performance with some of the most amazing theatre artist working in the theatre today. The class will focus on giving young actors the tools necessary to help them stand out from thecrowd and take their audition and performance skills to the next level. Students will work on song Interpretation, musical theatre audition technique, Impov and danceaudition combinations.

"Sutton Foster Broadway: Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical, Inga in Young Frankenstein, Janet Van De Graaf in The Drowsy Chaperone (2006 Tony, Drama Desk Award nominations, L.A. Ovation Award), Jo in Little Women (2005 Tony, Drama Desk,Outer Critics Circle Award nominations), Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002 Tony,Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Astaire Awards), Eponine in Les Misérables, the 20th anniversary of Annie, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Grease.

New York: Carnegie Hall (NY Pops),Lincoln Center (American Songbook), Town Hall, Joe's Pub; Actors' Fund benefitperformances of Funny Girl and Chess. TV: Disney Channel's "Johnny and the Sprites,"and HBO's "The Flight of the Conchords.

"This one-day class is designed for student's ages 9-14 and will take place on MondayJanuary 18 th from 10 am - 3 pm. Class will be held at Ripley Grier Studios located at 5208 th Avenue. This workshop is currently sold out, but students can be added to a waiting list.
