Sunday Series at Abingdon will present a one-night benefit performance of Hell's Belles, a hilarious musical revue -- you don't need to go all the way to Hell for a devilish good time - just to West 36th Street. Proceeds will benefit not-for-profit Abingdon Theatre's programming.

When a fallen pop star arrives in Hell, she meets a series of famous and infamous women who strut the stage satirizing everything from contemporary morals to the criminal justice system to motherhood. Salome, Lady Godiva, Lizzie Borden, Joan Crawford and Janis Joplin are just some of the notorious females in this madcap show. Will the pop star accept her fate and join the chorus, or will she stage a revolution? And what's Eleanor Roosevelt doing there?

John Znidarsic directs Omri Schein, Oakley Boycott, Kristen Mengelkoch and Laura Daniel as they play more than 20 roles, with kooky costumes, razor-sharp satire and gleeful irreverence.

Director: John Znidarsic; Musical Director: Mary Feinsinger; General Manager: Laura Heller; Costume Designer: Gail Cooper-Hecht; Stage Manager: Paul Bourgeois.

Since 1993, not-for-profit Abingdon Theatre Company has developed and produced new plays by American Playwrights exclusively. Under the artistic direction of Jan Buttram, the company provides a safe home in which playwrights collaborate with other theatre artists and receive audience feedback through the utilization of a four-step development process: First Readings, Staged Readings, and Workout Labs, which culminate in Studio Productions and Mainstage Productions.
