Summer Play Fest. and Naked Angels Announce Collaboration

The Summer Play Festival (SPF) and Naked Angels ­ two of the hottest places in New York to see a new play ­ are pleased to announce…a collaboration!

Since 1989, Naked Angels has presented Tuesdays@9, a weekly reading series offering writers a chance to hear their work-in-progress. Every Tuesday night in both New York and Los Angeles, wonderful actors converge, are handed pages of dialogue and text, and within minutes are bringing to life what might have been, just hours before, mere ideas in the writer¹s head.

This July, Tuesdays@9 moves to THURSDAYS@9 at SPF in the Theatre Row Complex on 42nd Street. The SPF Team, along with T@9 Creative Directors Joe Danisi and Stephanie Cannon, is thrilled to introduce this longstanding reading series to its audiences and is certain the mix of Naked Angels regulars and SPF alumni writers and actors will set off sparks.

Under founder Arielle Tepper, the Summer Play Festival provides emerging writers, directors, designers and producers an opportunity to work on their material and their craft in a protected environment, guided by established professionals at no cost to them.
