most influential, intriguing and beloved men in musical theater history.These
acclaimed powerhouse performers will offer a distinct, stylish and
tuneful portrait of the most prolific of Broadway composers. The
evening, which includes an astonishing forty Rodgers tunes covering the
scope of his life and career, juxtaposes the favorite standards that
Rodgers wrote with Lorenz Hart such as "Isn't It Romantic", "My Funny
Valentine", "Lady Is A Tramp" and "Where or When" with those from the
glorious Oscar Hammerstein II collaborations such as Oklahoma,
Carousel, South Pacific, The King And I, and some melodies for which he
wrote his own lyrics are given their due. The evening is peppered
throughout with fascinating stories about the composer's life."
