NY Artists Unlimited, creator of the International Cringe Festival, is now accepting submissions for the 2nd annual Bad Plays Festival.

Press notes specify: "(No, they're not really bad but: naughty, satirical, politically incorrect, political satire, and the like).  The bottom line is they must keep us laughing or highly entertained throughout.  This festival has involved renowned writers/ directors/ actors, packed houses including attendance by commercial producers, and received coverage in The New York Times, New York magazine, and TimeOut."

"Scripts under 45 minutes running time are preferred and chosen plays are grouped into theme evenings.  Quality (yes, Virginia, we do look for quality) of productions is monitored by the company."  Scripts are read aloud 2-3 times before selections are made.  Visit www.NYartists.org or contact Nyartunltd@aol.com, read guidelines and submit application form, resume, cover letter, sufficient copies of script for readers (actors can double), bios of any other artists involved, and $15 application fee (through April 30; $25 through May) check/ m.o. made out to NY Artists Unlimited, Inc.   Support materials are optional.
