Missed the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony? The ice rink at Bryant Park too crowded? Not feeling The Rockettes' kicking it this year? No worries - SubCulture: Arts Underground is bound to get you feeling festive with their first annual Holiday Concert Series from today, December 17th - 22nd. The venue is dedicated to bringing a unique and dynamic style of programming to downtown Manhattan, and they will continue that tradition throughout the holiday season.

The Holiday Concert Series will feature some of NYC's top musicians within the jazz, classical, singer/songwriter, and Broadway genres, and consist of seasonal favorites and some unexpected twists on holiday programming. Leading the festivities will be the SubCulture Holiday Band, made up of Steve Elliott on guitar, Alan Hampton on bass, Gregg Kallor on piano, Ben Wittman on percussion, and a dynamic duo of vocalists in Laila Biali and Jo Lawry. Combined, the artists have been praised by The New York Times, All Music, and Time Out New York, among others; have toured with music giants such as Sting and Paula Cole; and have won numerous awards. Plus, each show will feature a special guest, including talents such as Peter Eldridge, Dave Eggar, Kate McGarry, Andrew Nemr and Sachal Vasandani.

Matinee performances December 20th-22nd will offer family-friendly entertainment complete with sing-a-longs and special goodies for the little ones.
