Variety is reporting that actors Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Kind have been tapped to star in the upcoming Ethan and Joel Coen film "A Serious Man." The story is about a college professor (Stuhlbarg) with a rocky marriage and a dependent brother (Kind) whose life begins to unravel when his wife tries to leave him.
The famous directing duo will be starting to film next month around the time their highly anticipated George Clooney/Brad Pitt feature "Burn After Reading" is released. "Burn" and "Serious Man" come on the heels of their acclaimed Academy Award winning film "No Country for Old Men".
Kind is well known for his roles on the hit sitcoms "Mad About You" and "Spin City." He has also appeared on "Two and a Half Men," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and has a recurring role on "Scrubs." Film work includes a role in close friend George Clooney's directorial debut Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. In the theatre, Kind starred in Broadway's mega-hit The Producers and created the role of Addison Mizner in Sondheim and Weidman's musical Bounce at Chicago's Goodman Theatre and The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.Michael Stuhlbarg has performed at The Public in Measure for Pleasure, Twelfth Night, Hamlet, The Winter's Tale, A Dybbuk, Henry VIII, Richard II (title role), All's Well That Ends Well, Woyzeck.
