Following its sold out premier, The Spotlight, an acclaimed Studio Senakwami production, returns to the majestic Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center with a new array of performers on June 4 at 7:30pm.

The Spotlight offers a performance opportunity for professional, established and up and coming aspiring artists and musicians with a mission to encourage and inspire young people to be studious and persistent in their music education.
This anticipated production is hosted by three time Excellence in Theatre Education Tony Award nominee and multi-award nominated vocalist, Corinna Sowers Adler, and accompanied by the multi-talented Juilliard jazz pianist Julius Rodriguez and members of his band, Orange Julius.

The Spotlight features professional singers D.C. Anderson, Broadway performer, Phantom of the Opera, Joshua Lance Dixon, multi-award winning singer, Andrea Frierson, Original Broadway Cast member of Once on This Island, T. Oliver Reid two time MAC award winning singer, currently performing in his 11th Broadway show, Sunset Boulevard and student singers Julia Hannon, and Luke Surretsky.

Musicians performing in The Spotlight include Orange Julius band members Daniel Winshall and Johgkuk Kim, with Diane Monroe, Mike Braugher and Angela Kahn. Spoken word artist Gha'il Rhodes Benjamin offers talking poems. In addition, Studio Senakwami will showcase selected piano students Zenobia Dillon, Miles Willis, Aidan Thompson, Avantika Makthal, Aviva DiPaolo, Dana Jensen and Amy Benerofe.

Studio Senakwami, founded by John Senakwami, is located in Harrison, New York, and provides piano and vocal students with educational, enriching, and fun-filled musical experiences.
