Sundown, a new musical composed by two-time Tony Award nominee Peter Link, will be released on CD on November 30 by Original Cast Records. The studio cast recording stars Steve Blanchard, Judy McLane, and Patrick Ryan Sullivan

Blanchard, Broadway's Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and McLane, Mamma Mia's current Tanya, appeared in the 2004 off-Broadway musical Johnny Guitar. For Johnny Guitar, McLane received a Drama Desk Award Nomination for Best Actress in a Musical and Drama League Honor for Distinguished Performance in the Theater. The same year, she also received a Helen Hayes Nomination for Best Actress in a musical for her performance as Phyllis in Follies at the Signature Theater in DC. Sullivan recently completed a long stint as Julian Marsh in the Broadway revival and the national tour of 42nd Street.

Also featured on the recording are Joe Lutton, Robert Aronson, Dennis Deal, Jimmy Bennett, Jeffrey C. Wolf, Julia Wade, and Peter Link.

Sundown, a musical about the legend of Doc Holliday and the gunfight at the OK Corral, has music by Link, lyrics by Larry Rosler and a book by Joe Bravaco and Rosler. The show, a participant in Stephen Schwartz's ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in 2001, was seen at Barter Theatre in Virginia and Lyric Stage in Texas, where it was nominated by the Dallas Theatre League for Best New Play or Musical of 2002.

Peter Link, Sundown's composer, won the New York Drama Desk Award for his off-Broadway hit Salvation, out of which came his first Gold Record, "If You Let Me Make Love To You (Then Why Can't I Touch You?)", which sold over two million copies.

His scores to Neil Simon's The Good Doctor and Joseph Papp's production of Much Ado About Nothing, which was presented at the Delacorte Theatre in Central Park, on Broadway, and as a CBS television special, earned him back-to-back Tony Award nominations. Other Broadway credits include Ulysses In Nighttown starring Zero Mostel, Lysistrata starring Melina Mercouri, The Mighty Gents starring Morgan Freeman, and the cult classic King of Hearts.

Link is also the composer, producer and director of The Jenny Burton Experience, a pop / inspirational / R&B act that broke all box office records playing to packed houses during its seven year run in New York City. His songs have been recorded by Johnnie Mathis, DionneWarwick, Peggy Lee and ... Mae West.
