Susan Stromen is teaming up with famed Ragtime music duo Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (music) for a new dance musical supported by Lincoln Center, BroadwayWorld has confirmed.  The still unnamed project received a reading last year and is prepping for a long workshop at Lincoln Center in June. The project is written by Peter Parnell (Cider House Rules). Stroman, of course, will direct and choreograph.

Set in 19th century Paris, the dance musical centers on the real life relationship between Edgar Degas and a young ballerina.

Previously, Lincoln Center has produced Ahrens/Flaherty's The Glorious Ones, Dessa Rose, My Favorite Year and A Man of No Importance produced and Stroman's Contact, Happiness and The Frogs.
