Legendary theatrical icon and internationally recognizable comedic and dramatic actress Elaine Stritch alludes to a potential new onscreen role as part of Kirstie Alley's new upcoming theatre-themed situational comedy in a new interview.
Stritch states that she has been offered a role on the new NYC-set, Broadway-centric series, currently in pre-production, but has not yet accepted, citing fiduciary disputes.
Stritch says, "...I've been offered a television show, the new Kirstie Alley series, and I'm not so sure I'm going to do it, because they're a bit stingy."
She adds, "And I have to travel with an assistant, because I have diabetes, you know, I can't be alone. So that's tough, and I'd like to do it. It's just a week's work at the end of June."
Stritch qualifies her statement by referring to her recent move out of the Caryle in Manhattan to her hometown of Michigan. "I don't have a damned thing to do except take walks in Birmingham, Michigan, and I've done that," she says.
"Been there, done that, got the T-shirt," Stritch utters with a trademark cackle.
