BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano.
This Thursday, March 15th Broadway Sessions celebrates the 2012 graduating Musical Theater class from Carnegie Mellon University. The evening will feature performances by CMU alums Matthew Stocke, Lora Lee Gayer, Andrew Kober and Hunter Ryan Herdlicka.
Matthew Stocke has appeared on Broadway in Rock of Ages, The Full Monty, Titanic, The Wedding Singer and The Boy from Oz. Hunter Ryan Herdlicka starred as ‘Henrik’ in the recent Broadway revival of A Little Night Music. Andrew Kober was featured in the Broadway and West End casts of Hair (Margaret Mead). Lora Lee Gayer recently starred as ‘Young Sally’ in the Broadway revival of Follies.
Scheduled to perform the 2012 CMU graduating class are Lindsay Faye, Grey Henson, Corey Cott, Denver Milford, Lilli Passero, Noah Plomgren, Lucia Roderique, Jessie Shelton, Marrick Smith and Abdiel Vivancos.
The evening will also feature performances from composer Zoe Sarnak’s upcoming concert- Unfold: Notes Scribbled Down on Paper which plays The Bitter End March 19th.
Broadway Sessions takes place every Thursday evening at The Laurie Beechman Theater inside The West Bank Café located at 407 west 42nd street (corner of 42nd street and 9th avenue). 212-695-6909.
