The 20-year old Chicago comedy troupe, Stir Friday Night, brings their 20th sketch revue thru time! On a day to get stress free at the Korean Spa, the Asian-American comedy crew discovers a time machine, instead of more bubbles in the hot tub. Once their time traveling ensues, the hilarity follows, with scenes like Confucius writing for Buzzfeed, Jeremy Lin dreaming of the first Asian-American NBA player, and a future where robots run off of shame; this Stir Friday Night crew finds the funny!

Stir-Friday Night! comes off of their recent 20th Anniversary celebration and brings fresh new sketches with an Asian perspective to the Apollo Studio. With scenes speaking to the issues of being the "model minority," internment camps during World War II, or even the pros & cons of the 14th Amendment, this revue finds a way to bring humor to serious affairs. And nonetheless, the comedy troupe also adds their off-the-cuff humor with sketches about a bagel-bearded pirate, a condo association pizza party fight, and the battle of Eminem vs. Backstreet Boys. The comedy crew truly jumps through various moments in time to show their range of humor.

The 20-year old comedy ensemble holds alumni names such as Danny Pudi (NBC's Community), Steven Yeun (AMC's The Walking Dead), Mary Sohn (Second City Mainstage), Christine Lin (Broadway's "Chinglish"), and Rasika Mathur (MTV's Wild 'N Out). They have been past participants in the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, The Chicago Women's Funny Festival, and the Chicago Improv Festival. With performers' resumes featuring a plethora of experiences from the Second City, iO Theater, and the Annoyance Theatre, this current ensemble doesn't hold back on making their mark in the rich Chicago comedy scene.

All performances will be at the Apollo Theatre Studio every Saturday at 8:00 pm (CST), from tonight, October 10th thru November 7th, 2015. Tickets are $10 for General Admin & $5 for Students, and may be purchased at the theater box office, or by phone (773-935-6100). The Apollo Theatre, 2540 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL 60614.
