Kurt Deutsch, President of Ghostlight Records, today announced that the original cast of the Outer Critics Circle Award winner for Best Musical and multi-Tony Award nominated musical Bright Star will reunite for a one-night-only concert to celebrate the show's smash hit Original Cast Recording.

Co-creators Steve Martin and Edie Brickell will join as both hosts and guest-performers for the evening. Immediately following the concert, the legendary Peter Asher will moderate a Q&A with Martin, Brickell, and other members of the creative team.

The concert will take place at Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) on Monday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this special event are available via Ticketmaster.com.

Since its release this past spring, the original cast recording of Bright Star has enjoyed the rare distinction of having charted on five different Billboard lists. The cast album hit #1 on the Top Current Blue Grass Albums chart, #2 on the Top Broadway chart, and #5 on the Americana/Folk Albums chart. It also made the Top 100 on the Billboard Top Albums chart and Top 200 on the Overall Digital Albums chart. The album is produced by the legendary, multi-Grammy Award-winning producer, manager, and musician Peter Asher. It is one of the top selling cast recordings of the year.

"I adored working with this remarkable company of performers and musicians, and I'm very proud of this recording. We've been incredibly pleased by the sales, and there seems to be a real demand for a live, in-person performance," Mr. Asher said.

"We loved the opportunity to get the entire cast back together for this one night." Mr. Martin and Ms. Brickell said in a joint statement. "And after much pleading, they've agreed to allow us to join them onstage, so we can finally get a taste of the spotlight."

Bright Star, with direction by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreography by Josh Rhodes, began performances on Thursday, February 25th, 2016 at the Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street), and opened officially on Thursday, March 24th. It went on to win the 2016 Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Musical and Best Score and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Music. It also received five 2016 Tony Awards nominations, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Book, Best Lead Actress in a Musical, and Best Orchestrations. It played its final performance on Broadway on Sunday, June 26.

Carmen Cusack made one of the most buzzed about and raved over Broadway debuts in recent memory as Alice Murphy, the role she originated in Bright Star's world premiere production, and will be joined by co-stars Paul Alexander Nolan, Tony Award nominee Michael Mulheren, A.J. Shively, Hannah Elless, Tony Award nominee Stephen Bogardus, three-time Tony Award nominee Dee Hoty, Stephen Lee Anderson, Emily Padgett, Tony Award nominee Jeff Blumenkrantz, along with Maddie Shea Baldwin, Allison Briner-Dardenne, Max Chernin, PatRick Cummings, Sandra DeNise, Richard Gatta, Lizzie Klemperer, Michael X.
