Today, November 4, 2012, a troupe of Broadway's most promising young performers will stage an evening of song and dance at St. Luke's Theatre, 308 West 46th Street, New York City. Lee Godburn, an artist and a producer, and Mamma Mia! cast member Sharone Sayegh are producing the event. Tickets are $100 and are available online at www.artistsforworldpeace.org. Admission to the after party is available for an additional $25. All proceeds will support the ongoing work of Artists for World Peace, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fund-raising and grant-making foundation based in Middletown.
The evening will begin at 8:00 p.m. with a pre-show cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by the 9:00 p.m. performance. The benefit will feature the following singers: Stephen Carrasco (Ghost, Billy Elliot, White Christmas), Andrea Goss (Once, Rent), Raymond J. Lee (Anything Goes, Mamma Mia!), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked, Mamma Mia!), Marissa McGowan (A Little Night Music, Bonnie and Clyde, Les Misérables), Ryann Redmond (Bring It On), Sharone Sayegh (Mamma Mia!), Steven Taylor (Lion King), Blake Whyte (Mamma Mia!, Wicked), and Alex Wyse (Lysistrata Jones, Bare).Artists for World Peace links communities of artists with communities in need. Working from an art-centered perspective and as members of the global arts community, the organization supports sustainable development worldwide by sending kids to school, making interest-free microloans, and helping people develop partnerships and networks.
