The Broadway Workshop, Manhattan's fastest growing acting program for young artists, has teamed up with Broadway's Stephanie Fittro for its first ongoing acting class. The class will begin this September 27th, 2008 in New York City.
This class will focus on building a strong acting foundation through exercises, improvisations and scenes. Students will learn techniques designed to help unlock their imagination, get rid of inhibitions, and approach a character — from first read through to performance.
"We are thrilled to bring this program to our students," said Marc Tumminelli director of The Broadway Workshop. "Giving young actors the opportunity to work with someone who is as talented as Stephanie will be an experience they will never forget."
Stephanie Fittro is currently starring in the Broadway musical
Legally Blonde playing the roles of Kate and Chutney. Her other New York Credits include; The Merry Widow, Hair, Finian's Rainbow and Jesus and Mandy. Stephanie also appeared in the Broadway National Tours of
Hairspray, Carousel and
West Side Story (50th anniversary).
This 6 week class is designed for student's grades 4th through 6th and will take place on Saturday's from 10am-11:30 am, beginning September 27th 2008 and concluding November 8th, 2008. Class will take place at Ripley Grier Studios located at 520 8th Avenue. The cost of the 6 session class is $375.00
