What do Jamie Dimon, Pope Francis, Lance Armstrong, Chico Marx, and A-Rod all have in common? They will be sharing the stage, nightly, starting January 18th on West 46th Street.

GREED: A Musical for Our Times will have its debut production by The Tank, Ltd from tonight, January 17 through February 5, 2014. With book, music, and lyrics by Michael Roberts, GREED's exploits range from the outrageous Ponzi scheme of 1910 to the subtle sales pitches of retirement planners and mortgage bundlers. With songs like "A Little Juice," "Inside Information," and "The Ballad of Jamie Dimon," GREED takes aim at the obvious, and not so obvious, targets.

"I have had great fun learning the details, the history, and the language of greed," Roberts commented, "from the tulip bubble of the seventeenth century Holland to the origin of 'The London Whale.'" Michael Roberts is the author, composer, and lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway comedy Golf: The Musical that has played over 1,000 performances in more than 11 countries. His musical The Fartiste enjoyed an Off-Broadway run during the 2011-2012 season and is the winner of the 2006 FringeNYC Best Musical Award. Roberts is a two-time recipient of the ASCAP Plus Award for his work in musical theatre.

GREED: A Musical for Our Times will be directed by Christopher Scott, Music Director and Arrangements by Steven Gross. The cast features Julia Burrows*, Neal Mayer*, James Donegan*, and Stephanie D'Abruzzo*. D'Abruzzo is best known for her Tony and Drama Desk nominated performances originating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy The Slut both off and on Broadway in Avenue Q, for which she also received a Theatre World Award and a special ensemble award from the Outer Critics' Circle.

GREED features costumes by Dustin Cross, sets by Josh Iacovelli, and lights by Joan Racho-Jansen. The production is stage managed by Brian Westmoreland, assisted by Gemini Quintos. Casting is by Stephanie Klapper. GREED is presented by The Tank, Ltd, a not-for-profit arts presenter, now in its tenth year of supporting emerging artists across seven disciplines, including theater, music, dance, spoken word, and more.

GREED: A Musical for Our Times will play in the heart of Times Square in The Tank at The Playroom Theater, 151 West 46th Street.
