Sotheby's has opened its doors to the public for the exhibition of The Collection of Edward Albee. Assembled together for the first time outside of his flat in Tribeca where he lived for over 30 years, the works of art offer insight into Edward Albee's creative vision. For theatre fanatics and art lovers alike, the six-day exhibition is a rare opportunity to see and experience the world of Edward Albee through the works of art that he carefully assembled and displayed.
The 100+ works - ranging from works of art from Africa & Oceania, to paintings by Jean Arp, Marc Chagall, Milton Avery and more - will be displayed at 1334 York Avenue through the 25th of September, before it is auctioned to benefit The Edward F. Albee Foundation on 26 September.
