Staten Island Philharmonic to Perform STATEN ISLAND STARS This Fall

The Staten Island Philharmonic, along with special guests, will perform November 13, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Springer Concert Hall at the College of Staten Island (2800 Victory Boulevard).

The youngest stars, the Staten Island Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, will also participate in the concert, with "Fantasia on 'Greensleeves,'" by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The conductor for the performance is José Alejandro Guzmán with Beth Johanning guest conducting the Vaughan Williams.

The special guests for the performance are:

Dan Auerbach, Professor of Music at CSI performing Singing Suite in the Old Style for Violin.

Sylvia Kahan, Professor of Music at CSI performing Mozart Concerto No. 17 in G for Piano.

Joseph Loposky, Music Department Chair at Xaverian High School performing Haydn Concerto in E-flat for Trumpet.

Raymond Wheeler, Music Department Chair at Stuyvesant High School performing von Weber Concertino for Clarinet.
