Come celebrate the Olympics at the Staten Island Children's Museum February 19 - 25

Kids cook every Friday at 2, 3 & 4 p.m.
Health Plus Kidz Cook - Which country?
Olympic time is perfect to learn some geography and some food trivia
On, Fridays we will be cooking different countries!
Can you guess which country?
Swiss Cheese Fondue - February 19 - "Switzerland"

Staten Island Fencing Club Presents: Foil Fencing
Watch the fencing demonstration, learn about the sport and try some action moves.
Saturday - February 20 at 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Olympic Medals and Games -
Feel like a champion - make medals and compete in some games
Visitors will try the museums Olympic style version of curling and skiing, craft some medals and win Olympic pins.
Saturdays & Sundays - February 20 & 21 at 1, 2 & 3 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - WIW programs are free with Museum admission.
Clay Day-Wednesdays- Aspiring sculptors can create works of art with special air-dry clay.
Paint Day - Thursdays - Picasso may have started like this!
Kidz Cook- Fridays- Future chefs practice recipes and sample some fancy food.

While at the Museum, families can visit hands-on, fabulous interactive exhibits: Block Harbor, The Big Game, Bugs and Other Insects, Great Explorations, Portia's Playhouse, Sea of Boats, Ladder 11, D.B.'s Fantastic Machines & House About It! and more! Museum Hours are noon - 5 p.m. when NYCity public schools are open and 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. when NYCity public schools are closed (including weekends). Admission is $6 per person; children under 1 and members are admitted free. Every day, join Animal Time when youngsters can assist our educators in caring for our birds, bugs, fish and guinea pig. Telling tales out of school is okay everyday when visitors hear stories from around the world.

Grandparents are admitted free on Wednesdays.

The SI Children's Museum is located at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden, 1000 Richmond Terrace, just minutes away from the Clove Road exit off the Staten Island Expressway.
