Stanley Allan Sherman's next Custom-Fitted Leather Clown Nose Making Two-day Workshop will be November 3 and 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in his studio at 14th Street and Seventh Avenue.

Mr. Sherman, the City's foremost leather theatrical mask maker, has made over 100 cusTom Fitted clown noses for clowns in the New York area and around the world. In this class you will learn how to choose, prepare, mold, cut, fit and paint the leather for your nose, also (and this may be the hardest) to prepare and fit the elastic and string.

Leather clown noses do not sweat like rubber or latex and they have a much more natural look and feel than rubber. To see Mr. Sherman's masks, clown noses and other info, see www.maskarts.com.

The class is limited to seven. Cost is $100 for the class and $85 for tools and materials (you get to keep the seven tools). To reserve a spot, pay in advance by October 29, because tools and supplies must be purchased in advance. (50% deposit will be accepted from people with financial need.) Past students can skip the tool fee. Email: stanley@maskarts.com or call 212-243-4039.
