New York, March 29, 2013 -- Broadway star Dan Domenech, best known for his role as Drew on Broadway's "Rock of Ages," and who is bound for Manila for the Asian premiere of Disney's "Tarzan" in June, shared with NBC sports commentator Al Trautwig, who is the spokesperson for Dancing Dreams, a non-profit dance company that gives children with physical and medical challenges the opportunity to dance, the honor to ring the opening bell at NASDAQ Stock Market in Times Square two days ago.

Domenech will participate at Dancing Dreams' dance recital dubbed "Broadway Babes" set for Sunday, April 28, 1 p.m. at The Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica Estates, New York.

Dancing Dreams, founded in 2002 by Joann Ferrara, a pediatric physical therapist, accommodates three to 17-year-old dancers with physical and medical disabilities that reside in Manhattan, Queens, Nassau County, Rockland County, and New Jersey to train regularly at its dance studio in Bayside, Queens.

"There is a voluntary contribution for classes to help cover the cost of the program. However, there is no child ever turned away for an inability to pay. There is never a charge for family, friends, and classmates to join in the annual performance," according to the dance school's website.

Dancing Dreams plans to open its first dance studio in Manhattan in the fall; and donations are being encouraged at dancingdreams.org.

Shortly after the danced recital, Domenech leaves New York to begin rehearsals for Disney's "Tarzan" first week of May.

Domenech (Tarzan) co-stars with Rachelle Ann Go (Jane), 2012 BroadwayWorld PH Best Actress in a Musical.

Disney's "Tarzan," produced by Viva Atlantis Theatricals, plays Meralco Theater in Manila from Friday, June 14 to Sunday, July 7.
