Spring Awakening Cast to be Featured on Studio A Cabaret

The cast of the Tony Award-winning musical Spring Awakening will be heard on Seth Rudetsky's Studio A Cabaret on Broadway's Best channel 77. 

The show will highlight exclusive performances by the cast of the Tony Award-winning musical and its composer Duncan Sheik. Songs performed will include "Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind," "The Guilty Ones," and "Left Behind."  An encore of the broadcast will also be carried on SIRIUS OutQ channel 109.

The program will air: June 15 at 7 pm ET on Broadway's Best, June 16 at 3 pm ET on Broadway's Best, June 17 at 12 pm ET on Broadway's Best, June 17 at 8 pm ET on SIRIUS OutQ and June 20 at 2 pm ET on Broadway's Best.

Spring Awakening premiered off-Broadway in May of 2006.  The rock musical based on a controversial German play by Frank Wedekind is scored by Duncan Sheik with book and lyrics by Steve Sater.  The musical was the most honored show at the 2007 Tony Awards with 8 wins including Best Musical, Best Director of a Musical (Michael Mayer), Best Original Score (Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater), Best Book of a Musical (Steven Sater), Best Orchestrations (Duncan Sheik), Best Featured Actor in a Musical (John Gallagher, Jr.), Best Choreography (Bill T. Jones) and Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Kevin Adams).
