Spoken Word Artist Cherrie Amour who recently released her first book of poetry, "Free to Be Me: Poems on Life, Love and Relationships" visited New York City where she held a reading / signing event at Sisters Uptown Bookstore and Cultural Center, Inc. in Harlem.
During the November 29th event Cherrie, a native Trinidadian, read selections which focused her geographical and emotional journey from childhood to adulthood and from the Caribbean to Canada and from Detroit, Michigan to her current hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.Amour also treated the appreciative attendees to samples of her soulful poetic verses from her spoken word CD projects "ilovemesomewords" and "Love's Journey".
