Williamsburg's Spike Hill will host five shows as part of Make Music New York on Monday, June 21st, beginning at 2:00 PM. Brooklyn psychedelics The Stethascopes will kick off the musical celebrations, combining the joy of 60's surf-pop with the low-fi snarl of DIY garage rock. At 3:00, Scary Livingdeliver guitar rock that infuses decadent grooves, dirty riffs and icy organ with unsettling undercurrents and eerie dissonance. Bushwick's Gunfight! play a unique and rowdy brand of Americana the band has dubbed "post-country" at 4:00 PM. At 5:00, New York band MiniBoone mix what the Village Voice calls "an enchanting mesh of old-school energy and new-school melody." At 6:00, local band Quiet Loudly infuse classic soul influence with their signature shoegaze and noise roots. Justin Stiver's Pet Ghost Project takes the stage at 7:00 to create patterns, moods and waves of emotion through sound.
