Spend The Holidays With QED; Programming In December Offers Something For Everyone ImageThe Queens performance venue QED will be open on Christmas Eve and Day for those looking for a fun way to spend the holidays filled with movies, Chinese food, stories and laughs to make your spirits bright.

On Christmas Eve, anyone can sign up to perform on a free open mic or stick around to watch a stand up comedy showcase. On Christmas Day, QED will celebrate the ancient tradition of Chinese Food and a Movie, where customers are welcome to watch movies on a nine-foot screen while eating Chinese takeout!

"The holidays can be a sad or lonely time for a lot of people," said QED owner Kambri Crews. "So we're opening our doors to give friends, families and anyone alone for the holidays a place to go that's entertaining and affordable."

After Christmas, fans of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Star Wars won't want to miss Movies R Dumb Presents The Star Wars Holiday Special, where MST3K's Frank Conniff and other quick-witted comedians will riff over the notoriously awful (and hilarious) TV special. And if you're still aching for Christmas-themed events, Drunk Restoration Comedy will return with their live, drunk reading of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, for what is sure to be a memorable night of comedy and drunkenness.

It's also time to say goodbye to 2017 with back-to-back all-star comedy on New Year's Eve! Both shows will feature entertainment from comedians seen on Conan, Comedy Central, and VH1 and heard on This American Life. The shows will be at 8pm and 10pm and include a buffet of delicious finger foods from local caterer Andrew & Franks. After the 10PM show, QED will give ticketed guests a complimentary champagne toast and as we ring in the New Year while watching the infamous ball drop to countdown on the giant projection screen.

See below for all of Q.E.D.'s holiday-themed events, and come sip on a hot apple cider or mulled wine while you enjoy some comedy!
