Superbunny Meets the Mummy, a new musical based on the next installment of the award winning children's book series Thumperino Superbunny by Amber L. Spradlin, is coming to the Actors Fund Arts Center on October 29th at 2:30 pm and October 30th at 10:30 am , FREE admission.
Superbunny Meets the Mummy is the fifth original children's musical produced by Rabbit Hole Theatricks, a not-for-profit theater company that offers its shows for free to everyone. Their mission is to entertain, inform, and educate, thereby enriching the cultural life of each audience member. Through humor, they bring original works to young and seasoned audiences alike in an effort to reduce, and possibly reverse, the dumbing down of America.
This brand new Superbunny musical is an ideal Halloween outing for children of all ages and their parents. Anything can happen when Superbunny unearths an ancient Egyptian mystery and awakens the curse of the mummy. Children are encouraged to come in costume and join the actors onstage for The Mummy Dance.
Superbunny Meets the Mummy is filled with lively musical styles from boogie to rap that are immediately singable. However, the Superbunny musical series is not just about the music, each show cleverly teaches team work, self-esteem, and the power of knowledge. Superbunny Meets the Mummy highlights these important lessons that children should learn through the use of song and an entertaining story that draws in the parents, too.
Book and lyrics are by Michael Mackenzie Wills (writer/director of three New York Times recommended Superbunny musicals), music by John Edward Ross (Superbunny Meets the Mummy), choreography by J. Joseph Burke (A Superbunny Christmas), and music direction by C. Colby Sachs (composer of A Cow Named Cow).
Superbunny Meets the Mummy is produced by Rabbit Hole Theatricks, a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization that offers all of their shows free, or low cost, to everyone. Their mission is to entertain, inform, and educate, thereby enriching the cultural life of each audience member. Through humor, they bring the classics (and original works) to young and seasoned audiences alike in an effort to reduce, and possibly reverse, the dumbing down of America.
