Roundabout Theatre Company presents Speech & Debate, a black comedy by Stephen Karam, directed by Tony Award nominee Jason Moore, featuring Susan Blackwell as "Teacher/Reporter," Jason Fuchs as "Solomon," Gideon Glick as "Howie" and Sarah Steele as "Diwata."

Speech & Debate is the first production at Roundabout Underground, an exciting new initiative to introduce and cultivate artists in Roundabout's new 65-seat Black Box Theatre.

Speech & Debate will open officially on Monday, October 29, at The Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).  This is a limited engagement through December 16, 2007.

"In Speech & Debate, three teenage misfits in Salem, Oregon reluctantly form their school's first speech and debate team after discovering they are all linked by a sex scandal that's rocked their town. Secrets become currency, blogs are belted and "bathing suit areas" exposed in this black comedy about what, if anything, it means to be an adult.

All tickets ($20) for Speech & Debate will be issued as general admission passes for first-come, first-served seating on the show date. Available by calling Roundabout Ticket Services at 212-719-1300, online at www.roundaboutunderground.com or at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre box office (111 West 46th Street).

Speech & Debate will play Tuesday through Saturday evening at 8:00PM with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:30PM and Sunday evenings at 7:00PM. www.roundaboutunderground.com
