Tony Award-winning star of Hairspray, Marissa Jaret Winokur, will be one of the contestants this season on "Dancing with the Stars."  When news broke of her involvement, she couldn't wait to share that experience with BroadwayWorld.com and its readers.  Marissa will be checking in from now until she wins (YAY!) or is eliminated (BOO!) with exclusive photos and a glimpse into what's going on as she takes on the other celebrities in the ultimate "dance off!"

Marissa says: "Okay so I had a great day! I rehearsed all morning and Judah even came by to see the quickstep! It's going great and I'm ready with a classic technical quickstep. Hopefully the judges will like it! We listened to what they said and calmed down a tiny bit! Then I went home for a photo shoot for In Touch! It's about my favorite room and I said "thats outside." Technically it's not a "room," but I love nature and being outside the most - so they made it work!"
"Dancing with the Stars" pairs twelve celebrities – six men and six women – with acclaimed dancers, and pits them against each other in attempts to outshine one another. Last season, viewers got a chance to size up the male vs. the female stars, as each gender hit the dance floor on separate nights during the first week of competition. Each week, one couple's fate is determined the following night

The line-up of celebrities for Season 6 of "Dancing with the Stars" includes Tony Award-winner
Marissa Jaret Winokur (Hairspray) and Priscilla Presley. The cast will also include former Olympic ice-skater Kristi Yamaguchi and Telenovela star Christian De La Fuente; plus actress Marlee Matlin and entertainer Penn Jillette; and radio jock Adam Carolla (dancing with Julianne Hough). Plus tennis champ Monica Seles, R&B singer Mario, actor Steve Guttenberg (3 Men and a Baby, Police Academy), Miami Dolphin Jason Taylor, actress Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie).Season 6 of "Dancing with the Stars" will premiere on ABC on Monday, March 17 in a special 2-hour episode. For more information visit ABC.com

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "I HOPE IT FITS!!! They brought a lot of stuff to try on.
I am always scared nothing will fit! But I loved this pink
dress so I said "make it work."

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "This is my favorite room -  it's a cabana.
But no, I don't usually have lemonade and flowers just sitting out -
but it looks pretty eh? (also I would never wear this fancy dress outside.
...normally just my undies and flip flops. ;)"

Marissa Jaret Winokur and husband Judah: "My man being a good sport again!
I think I may have pushed the limit on him now though .....( for this week)"

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "I begged them to let me keep the pillows!!!
I loved them! I think it's funny how when they do photo shoots for magazines
at your house they bring stuff to make your house nicer.
NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME! I GOT THE PILLOWS!"

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "Literally putting my boobs back in...."

Marissa Jaret Winokur: "All of us looking at the photos we just took.
It's awesome being able to see the photos right away. I never had that before"
