SOUTH STREET LOCAL ARTISTS, four independent New York City artists/designers, have made a home at 93 South Street, corner of Fulton, directly across from Pier 15. Open for only two weeks, you can find unique, customized, and exclusive items, including handcrafted jewelry, fine art, sunglasses, cards, t-shirts, and more.

"I'm so excited to be part of the South Street community!" said Tamara Garvey, one of the participating artists. "It's got a quirky, historical, old-world feel that's so different from the rest of NYC, which I just love. Our shop of creative goods is going to be a great fit for this unique neighborhood."

Irrix Screen, a graphic artist, whose paintings have been described "as Keith Haring meets Jean-Michel Basquiat, meets Australian Aboriginal art, meets Jackson Pollock" founded D.U.O GEAR® clothing line -- in 2011. Irrix creates one-of-a-kind clothing, from tshirts to vintage coats and jackets, which he paints his art on. In 2014 Irrix Screen won "The Best Of Manhattan Art Gallery" Award. Irrix went to Parson's, The New School for graphic design, SVA School of Visual Arts and the German School of photography

Cleo Nicci, a Queens-based small business run by Harry Young, makes sunglasses designed by local design students and independent designers. Harry is dedicated to collaborating with NYC talent to create unusual, funky, trendy sunglasses, such as frames made from stone and wood, at affordable prices. Perfect for New York trendsetters!

Angie Colombo designs jewelry that is simple with the thought that beauty is found in small ways. Inspired by nature and color, Angie sources the best quality stones and uses sterling silver, gold and gold-filled metals. Angie works out of her studio in Queens, NY. Each piece is handmade, always part of a short run and often one of a kind. In 2008, after a life of creative ventures, Angie left her corporate job to turn her long-time hobby into a business.

Tamara Garvey is a full-time artist who moved to Brooklyn after attending Savannah College of Art & Design for Illustration. She draws whimsical and sometimes absurdist pen-and-ink and watercolor illustrations, generally of forests, animals, desserts, and old-timey burglars, and makes them into art prints, cards, iPhone covers, and Moleskine journals. She prints and assembles everything herself, with love, from her Brooklyn apartment.
