Sophia Gennusa, Mitchell Sink & More to Star in CAMP ROLLING HILLS at NYMF

The New York Musical Festival and Camp Rolling Hills Musical, LLC/ Center Stage Theatre Company's have announced that Sophia Gennusa (Doctor Zhivago, Matilda - Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre), James Ignacio (The King And I), Mitchell Sink (Elf, Matilda, A Christmas Story), and Beatrice Tulchin (Matilda, A Christmas Story) will lead the company of CAMP ROLLING HILLS, a new musical with book and lyrics by Stacy Davidowitz and David Spiegel and music and lyrics by Adam Spiegel and directed by Jill Jaysen.

Also featured in the company are Gia Asperas (Seussical National Tour), John Krause (Fun Home, Rock of Ages National Tour), Jillian Louis (It Shoulda Been You), Jamie Mann(Billy Elliot National Tour), Grace Rundhaug ("The Sound of Music Live!", "Manhattan Night"), Keith Varney (I Got Fired - NYMF/DIMF award), Antonio Antonelli, Sarah Bates, Carrie Berk, Maizy Boosin, Jasper Burke, Lucas Casellas, Jonathan Eiler, David Hoffman, Chloe Manna, Merin McCallum, Will Varvaro, and Samantha Webster.

The production will play on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 5:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2016 at 5:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2016 at 9:00 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 1:00 pm at The Pearl Theatre, located at 555 West 42nd Street (between 10th and 11th Avenues on the north side of 42nd Street). From learning a new sport, to discovering a new talent, to finding their first love, these 12 tweens are off on an 8-week adventure that will forever change their lives. It doesn't matter if you are a nerd, a jock, a tomboy, or a girly-girl, because true friendships are made when all the rules are broken. After all, there is a different definition of cool at Camp!

Adam Spiegel (Composer & Lyricist) is a New York-based composer, singer, actor and pianist. His first musical, Camp Rolling Hills, is being produced this summer at New York Musical Festival, and has been adapted into a series of young adult novels published by Abrams Books. He is also the composer of Cloned!, a New York Times Critic's Pick and winner of NYMF 2014's Best of Fest Audience Prize!, and The Whole Megillah! He completed two years as a composer in the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, where he worked on a musical adaptation of Back To The Future with lyricist Dan Wolpow. Adam is also the keyboardist and lead singer of his band Brain Salt, and plays keyboards and sings for the band Hide & Seek. As an actor, he has been seen as Peter in Vital Theatre Company's Pinkalicious, The Musical! Adam is a graduate of NYU Steinhardt's program in Music Business.

David Spiegel (Book, Music, Lyrics) learned to write at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Television, Radio & Film. He also has a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Rutgers Business School. Full time, he is an Editorial Manager at CNBC Business News. Before that, he was a writer/producer of business news at CNN. And long before that, he was a counselor, head counselor, and theatre director at a small overnight summer camp in Upstate New York.

Stacy Davidowitz is the author of the Camp Rolling Hills book series and a bookwriter and lyricist of Camp Rolling Hills the Musical. She is a NYC-based writer whose plays include The Rubber Room (Old Vic, London; Naked Angels), PINK! (NYIT Nominee; Lark Finalist), Sacred Water (Rag and Bone), JOAN: Voices in the Fire (co-writer, The Guthrie), and Miracle Village(Shakespeare's Sister Semifinalist; Leah Ryan Finalist). Her musicals include Hank & Gretchen(produced in schools regionally) and Camp Rolling Hills. Her short plays have been produced at The Flea, Sam French, Williamstown, NYMadness, Amios, etc. Stacy's indie feature In The Rubber Room is in production with All the Way Around. Her alma maters are British American Drama Academy; BS, Tufts University; MFA in Acting, Columbia University; Tyler Hill Camp.

Jill Jaysen (Director) is an award-winning director and published playwright who founded Center Stage Theatre Company in Westport, CT with the vision of awakening dreams for all who experience it. Jill is a strong proponent of creating new works while engaging her students in the creative process. Since 2005, her original musicals have received multiple awards from the NETC, including the prestigious Moss Hart Memorial Award for Best Musical in New England. Most recently, Center Stage was honored alongside the Shubert Theatre and Long Wharf for their Outstanding Achievement In The American Theatre. Jill's tween and teen-centric musicals have been performed nationally, as well as internationally. Her students can be seen on Broadway, Film, TV, National Tours, Disney Radio Live, as well as on stage, accepting a TONY. Jill comes from a diverse background. She is a founding producer of NYMF, a corporate communications coach and strategist, President of Optimum Edge Communications and a former stockbroker
