Sommore has been referred to as "The Diva of Contemporary Comedy." Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Sommore is becoming known as one of America's top comediennes. Sommore has appeared on Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, Showtime at the Apollo, and BET's Live from L.A. She was also the first female host of BET's Comicview. During her Standing Ovation Tour, Sommore will be accompanied by four other comedy acts: Bill Bellamy, Tommy Davidson, Mark Curry and Tony Rock.
Bill Bellamy was first noticed on HBO's Russel Simmons' Def Comedy Jam, where he is credited with coining the phrase "booty call." Bellamy hosted MTV's Jamz and Beach House series. He also appeared in several movies including Any Given Sunday. Tommy Davidson first gained notoriety on In Living Color with his impressions of Sammy Davis, Jr. and Michael Jackson. Davidson's acting career includes Spike Lee's Bamboozled, Juwanna Mann, and Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls.
Mark Curry gained recognition with his stand-up career in Oakland, CA and has performed in comedy clubs around the world. Curry was featured on the television show Hangin' with Mr. Cooper. Tony Rock is comedian and actor Chris Rock's brother. As a natural entertainer, Rock is known for his memorable skits and characters.
